Children are like sponges — they absorb from everything and everyone around them. The Y believes the values and skills learned as a child are vital for future life success. That's why our staff understands the cognitive, physical and social development of kids. At the Y, babies develop trust and security, preschoolers experience early literacy and learn about their world, and school-aged kids make friends, learn new skills and the value of homework. Most importantly, children learn how to do their best. We believe confident kids today make for contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.
